I love this song. This is my favorite off of the LE. I know that Rick is not singing this song, but I love the words and the construction to this song. I find myself hitting repeat and just playing this one over and over
when I listen to the LE.
I'm not sure if this skirts schizophrenia or if it refers to the little devil and the angel on your shoulder or neither one of them. Either way, I love the mystery and the lore that surrounds the meaning of this song. "We all make our choices and all the little voices, are they talking in your head?" I love those lines.
"Love is its own defense" Although there are many definitions of defense, the two that stick out to me in this particular use of the word is to prevent the other team from scoring, or protection from harm.
It is catchy, I enjoy the rhythm, totally kick butt hook! I'm hooked on this song. Funny, I HATE country with every bone in my body, and this song sounds almost country to me, and I LOVE it! The singer does a fantastic job, I sure wish I knew who she was! Gosh, I'd bet that this song would chart if it were released at the right time.
