MORE FAN REVIEWS:

This has to be one of the most romantic movies I’ve ever watched and I love Romantic movies. I think Andrea Roth is really cute and perfect for this role. At first, I thought it was twins, but I can see why they didn't pick twin actresses, because one wouldn't have had much of a role. Rick as Phillip is very charming and handsome. However, I guess after watching several episodes of High Tide and seeing him in concert with his cargo pants, I have a hard time with him in the linen suits! But, they do look terrific on him.

I think most memorable parts for me are the kissing scenes. He has this way of holding her head while he's kissing. Does this in videos, too. That's signature for him and I just adore it!!

I do find it kind of far fetched that a girl just out of school and taking over her sister's job in Paris, would get out of the near scrapes that she did with that Jacques guy. He is a truly evil person and someone who is not street-wise would never stand a chance against him. Plus, she quickly wins over that one model that totally despises her. I guess that can happen. I don't know. I guess I find the story of the missing sketches as more of a background just to keep the story moving. I feel it could have moved right along without that story, though.

Oh, before I sign off, I am just totally tired of the love story, I love and trusted you and this is what you did to me, so we can't possibly have a relationship, until I found out that there was an absolutely good explanation for it!! Ugh!! LOL Oh, well, it's in every love story on television and every romance novel!

Anyone read Constance O' Banyon? She writes historical romance novels that I just happened upon. These would make some totally excellent movies and all her heroes are tall, dark and handsome! I think Rick could play the lead in all of them! In fact when I'm reading, he is the male lead!

I give Change of Place a 10.5 with several plunges into a cold pool of water!

I'm an avid reader but tend to steer away from the Harlequin Romance type. Don't take me wrong, I'm not judging, I just prefer other kinds of books. I keep this movie handy for when I'm in a "don't want to have to think about anything" mood and just want to lose myself in a good story but I'm too tired to read.

There are a couple of things I don't like about the movie:

- what is with her HAIR when she comes out of the airport in Paris?!?

- when she "accidentally" walks into Phillip on her first trip to the House of Shambertin, Philip's face (at least to me) and body stance seem to be totally telegraphing what's going to happen. On the other hand, there's the "bump" I don't think I'd mind it, nope, not at all.

- there isn't enough Rick

- the whole "she's gained 5 pounds" thing and how her street clothes never seem to fit any different, only the House clothes

-Philip's fashion sense is in need of some help. What's with the pants up to his armpits anyway? Was it for extra protection because they know how much he sweats while performing?

- not enough love scenes

The things I really like about the movie: (not in any particular order)

- the bedroom scene, very tastefully done, yuh-uh, hey, what do you mean my tape broke at that spot???

- Rick is in it

- Philip's excitement showing on his face as he's learning more about Kim/Domonique (like at the Museum) and his disappointment when she tries to return the drawings. I’m pretty sure Philip shouldn't play poker.

- the gleam in Philip's eyes when he catches a glimpse of Kim undressing after the fashion show

- Nekkid Rick!

- Loved the casualness he portrayed when he came to surprise her for an outing to see her favorite artwork. Very nice. And the way he looked at her when she told him she couldn't go to dinner with him since she has other plans.

Some things that just don't make sense to this viewer:

- if its her *favorite* piece of art in the whole entire world why does she only look at it for about 5 seconds before declaring it more beautiful than she expected?! The entire scene where they are walking around it she only has eyes for Rick (well, okay, that's understandable) and doesn't glance even once to her left to check it out.

- did I mention her HAIR at the airport??

- after Philip's sister had her baby and his brother-in-law comes in to thank Domonique - um, what did she do? Other than tell him to call an ambulance, tell them not to move her and maybe put a pillow under her head? Or was it that, as an outsider and a woman, she was able to take control of the situation and tell them these things because at that moment neither of the men were capable of rational thought? Or like Hard To Hold, are there clippings on the editing room floor that (we think) would fill in the blanks?

- if Philip has such a problem with women, why buy into a company where the employees and clientele are majorily female? I mean, I understand that he's hurt and everything because of his Mother, but I had a hard time buying this part, he's so distrustful of women but Kim/Domonique gets under his skin in a matter of days (after Kate/Domonique stated that he couldn't stand her). I dunno. The mysteries of life.

Okay, off the top of my head I think that's about it. Like I said, I love to watch this movie when I'm in a mood for a sappy love story. It’s something happy and sweet.

I think I'll rate it a 9.5 but that's subject to change.

My favorite thing in the whole movie is the appreciative looks in about 12 different shades of appreciation Philip conjures up through out the movie.......uh huh!

To try and shed some light on the don't make sense things...see notes below:

> if its her *favorite* piece of art in the whole entire world why does she only look at it for about 5 seconds before declaring it more beautiful than she expected?! Probably because she studied it so much she "knows" it by heart, is blown away by a) Paris, b) her whole assignment bailing her sister out and "omg how am I not going to freak out" and c) "omg he is such a pain in the butt/he is so, so, gorgeous" I think all things are happening
simulatneously with her. (OR, I have a very vivid imagination)

> did I mention her HAIR at the airport??

avante garde fashion for that 3 week fashion season at time of filming. Was "OUT" before the movie was even finished being cut.

> after Philip's sister had her baby and his BIL comes in to thank Domonique - um, what did she do? Other than tell him to call an ambulance, tell them not to move her and maybe put a pillow under her head? Or was it that, as an outsider and a woman, she was able to take control of the situation and tell them these things because at that moment neither of the men were capable of rational thought? I vote for some of all of the above, heavy on the editing room floor clippings.

Family. It's all about family. Hadn't it been in the family for generations.

I just wanna eat the whole movie up again. It's a sappy substitute for chocolate!
