Fan Reviews:

I liked that this episode revealed a little more about Chance and his past, yet left just enough to show that there is much more to the story than we fully understand.  It had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know the back story of this man.  The writing was superb.  That is not something I would say for the pilot episode.

Harry Solo turns out to be a person that Chris has encountered in the past. Harry reminds me a little of 'Dirty Harry'.  I think that is kind of funny. I am a little bit confused as to who the bad guy is in this episode.  Also, it seems as if the FULL story behind what is going on is not really fully revealed.   There is Harry and then that Lieutenant.   They were both involved without the Colonel's knowledge and this is why the Colonel's life was in danger.

I do find it almost impossible that Chris would be so talented that he was able to stop all of the booby traps the he encountered at the arboretum.   Also, he just is never knocked down. Other folks are shot and killed, gassed, etc., not Chris.  Only in TV!  I know that Rick Springfield is amazing, but it is just so not reality.  I'll knock a dart for the unrealistic-ness.

Back on the ship, the Colonel held conversations with the staff on board.  It was interesting because the viewer got to know all of the characters a little better.    The Colonel realized that he should use a team approach more to the events that he was involved in.  They all learned from each other as the viewer learned more about the characters.

I'd give this 4 out of 5
darts.
